Your remote IT delivery center for the UAE and the Gulf, engineered from Baku.
ONYX gives Gulf businesses a dedicated, English-speaking IT engineering team without the overhead of building one locally.
A delivery center, not a vendor
Our delivery center in Baku, Azerbaijan operates on Gulf Standard Time (UTC+4) and pairs enterprise-grade engineering with the cost efficiency of a nearshore model.
You get the responsiveness of an in-house team and the economics of a delivery center: proactive monitoring, SLAs agreed per engagement, and senior engineers who work your Gulf business hours as an extension of your team.
We don't sell you boxes. We run your IT.
What we're built for
A regional IT services provider with a specialist, cost-effective delivery center in Baku — engineering your infrastructure, security, and support as one embedded team.
The nearshore advantage
A Baku delivery center is a strategic advantage for Gulf businesses — closer, more cost-effective, and fully aligned with your working day.
Cost efficiency
A dedicated senior engineering team at a fraction of the cost of hiring and retaining one locally in the Gulf.
Timezone alignment
Baku runs on Gulf Standard Time (UTC+4), the same clock as Dubai — real-time collaboration through your full working day.
English-fluent engineers
Senior, English-speaking engineers who communicate clearly and integrate directly with your internal teams and stakeholders.
Established team
Operating since 2019, with 100+ delivery projects behind us — an experienced team, not a startup experiment.
How we work
A remote, SLA-driven engineering model that plugs straight into your business.
Remote-first
We deliver entirely remotely from our Baku center — monitoring, maintaining, and supporting your infrastructure without the cost and friction of an on-site team.
SLA-driven
Clear service levels, agreed per engagement, with proactive monitoring behind them. You always know response times, ownership, and what "done" looks like — no ambiguity.
Embedded
Your engineers work as an extension of your business — in your tools, your channels, and your workflows, so it feels like an in-house team.
Led by an engineer, not a sales team

Ruslan Ahmad
Ruslan has spent 15+ years building infrastructure — from datacenter rooms, enterprise networks, and firewalls to cloud platforms and Kubernetes across AWS, Azure, and GCP. He was the architect behind the passive network infrastructure of COP29, the UN Climate Conference hosted in Baku in 2024.
He founded ONYX in 2019 and leads every Gulf engagement personally: the engineer who scopes your project is the one accountable for delivering it.
Behind him is ONYX's senior engineering team in Baku — DevOps and cloud, network and security, and support engineers who have delivered 100+ projects together since 2019.
